Dermatopathologist and Lab Director Job in Staunton, Virginia Job#16768401 | Full-Time | Leadership Position

An established and growing dermatology and aesthetics practice in western Virginia is seeking a Dermatology-Trained Dermatopathologist to serve as Laboratory Director for a new, state-of-the-art dermatopathology lab. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead lab operations, contribute to clinical excellence, and work closely with a respected team of dermatology specialists.  

• Oversee the development, setup, and management of a new dermatopathology laboratory.
• Ensure quality control, compliance, and efficiency within all lab processes.
• Collaborate with physicians to deliver accurate and timely pathology results.
• Participate in ongoing clinical innovation and team leadership. 
• MD or DO with Board Certification in Dermatopathology required.
• Dermatology or Surgical Pathology–certified physicians with strong dermatopathology experience will also be considered.
• Active, unrestricted medical license (Virginia or eligibility).
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
